Brittany Harrison was born in Florida in 1982. She spent most of her life in Raleigh, and now lives in a tiny mountain town near the Tennessee border. As a teenager she invested a lot of time dreaming up fancy pen names for when she became a published author, only to decide in the end that having a pen name defeats the whole purpose of publishing a book, which is to have everyone you've ever met know that you've published a book.

Writing accounts for approximately 80% of Brittany's waking life. She spends the rest of it committing tea-related arcana to memory. She does most of her writing out of doors, which has yielded many fascinating encounters with wildlife, including curious deer, birds who perch on the lid of her laptop, and baby snakes falling into her lap.

Brittany graduated from Western Carolina University in 2006 with a degree in English Literature and a minor in Philosophy. She's going to have another cup of tea now, and invites you to do the same.
