Geraldine McCaughrean is the author of more than 120 books for young readers. She won the Michael L. Printz Award for The White Darkness, and has won three Whitbread Children's Book Awards, as well as the Carnegie Medal, The Guardian Fiction Prize, and the Smarties Bronze Award. She lives in Berkshire, England.
