Marsha Hayles
Biography
Marsha Hayles' inventive use of language and her gift for rhyme have become the hallmarks of her picture books. Her books have been named to reading lists throughout the country. A frequent guest author at schools and libraries, Marsha shares her enthusiasm for reading and writing in her lively presentations and workshops, and has been an invited speaker at various writer conferences. Marsha also writes poetry for children's magazines and is currently working on a novel for mid-grade readers.
Marsha earned her Master's Degree in English Literature at Washington University in St. Louis, and taught junior high and high school English before she began to write for children. A native of Rochester, Minnesota, Marsha now lives with her family in Rochester, New York.
