Jacqueline Davies

Biography

Jacqueline Davies had a coast-to-coast childhood, growing up in California, Massachusetts, and several states in between. When she wasn't moving, she managed to write a few books, including her kindergarten opus, The Sad Shape. That book is still in search of a publisher.

After college, Jacqueline bounced around the globe, living and working in Athens, Greece; Paris; and New York City. During that time, she washed floors, shelved library books, and organized community service youth programs.

Jacqueline has written both novels and picture books, including Where the Ground Meets the Sky, The Boy Who Drew Birds, The Night Is Singing, The House Takes a Vacation, The Lemonade War, Tricking the Tallyman, and Lost. She enjoys traveling the country and visiting schools to talk with kids about writing and reading.

Nowadays, Jacqueline lives with her three children, Sam, Henry, and Mae, and the family dog, Harley, in a small town outside Boston. She swears she will never move again.
