Kelly Creagh
Biography
Having grown up in the theatre, Kelly Creagh has always found herself surrounded by stories and storytellers. At an early age, she took great joy in performing in plays and for her family. When not on stage, Kelly would spend hours in the backyard make-believing and spinning wild adventures to share with her friends.
Today, Kelly continues to create fantastical tales, transcribing the plays in her mind onto the blank page, enjoying the opportunity it allows her to take on every role. In particular, she likes creating stories best read at night, the kind that will keep you up whether it’s because you can’t stop turning pages or because you’re too afraid to shut your eyes.
Kelly lives in Kentucky with her dog, Annabel, where she haunts the Victorian neighborhood of Old Louisville. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Theatre Arts and a Master of Fine Arts in Writing for Children and Young Adults. In addition to writing, Kelly works with middle school students. She also performs and instructs the ancient art of bellydance.
