Amanda Kanno wrote her first story at the age of eight on the back of a fast food flyer. Since then, she has dedicated an absurd number of hours to putting words on paper. Her love of writing is matched only by her love of music, and she pauses life often to listen to whatever story might be hidden in a melody, especially if it features a cello.
Her most deeply held beliefs are: 1) mountains have the ability to heal the soul if you take the time to hike through them, 2) if rhubarb can become a dessert, then there really is magic in the world, and 3) if you want to make the perfect sticky rice, put away your measuring cup and listen to what the ancestors are whispering to you.
Amanda has her degree in English/Creative Writing, and she lives in Utah with her husband, children, two goats, a bunny, and the world’s okay-est dog.
